Monday, May 16 - Membership dues must be paid or demission arranged.**
Saturday, May 28, 9 am - Special meeting of the Board of Directors and Membership -
Mosling Room, W. I. Rec Center for review of by-laws and ratification
of changes and amendments.
Saturday, May 28, 5:30 pm - Commodore's Memorial Weekend Potluck Event at Sunset
Resort. In a departure from the past, our opening event will be a potluck,
but instead of being held at a member's home, Sunset Resort has graciously
opened its doors to us. So, bring your best dish (assignments to be made in
mid-May) and join us for the Commodore's Memorial Weekend Potluck Event!
Hosts: Commodore Charlie Imig and First Mate Julie Imig.
Tuesday, May 31 (And all Tuesdays thereafter) - Kayak events - locations to be posted.
All events are wind and weather dependent. Thursdays in each week are the
alternate dates for events cancelled by weather conditions. If you are
interested in these activities, please contact Ginny Foster, Chairperson of
the Kayak/Canoe Committee, at terryfoster6441@sbcglobal.net or 847-2349.
Saturday, June 11 - Power Boat Outing. Meet at tripod at 10:30am for a cruise to Freddy
& Fuzzie's in Sister Bay for a no-host lunch. If you don't have a boat but would
like to crew, please contact the Vice Commodor - Power: Gene Meyer
(mydogjake@live.com or 847-3030). This and all other power boat outings are,
of course, weather, wind and lake-level conditions permitting. Check the WIYC
web site of with the VC Power on the day of the scheduled event should you
have questions or concerns. Weather date is Sunday, June 12.
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, JUNE18.
Sunday, June 26 - Deer Run Golf Outing - mixed doubles. You don't have to be part of a
couple to play - we'll mix people up and make foursomes. Time to be
determined by any league activities taking place at the golf course. Adjourn to
the bar at the closeof play for no-host bar and awards.

Saturday, July 2 - Blessing of the Fleet, Jay Ward, Chairman. This event takes place at
the Ferry Dock. Power, sail, paddle, etc. to the Blessing of the Fleet and
return to Shellswick's dock for a cook out.
Sunday, July 10* - Bay Ridge Golf Outing in Sister Bay. Details to be coordinated by Sally
Clancy. Click here for additional information.
Saturday, July 23 - Power Boat Outing. Meet at the tripod at 10:30am for a cruise to
Cedar River Marina in Michigan. See June 11 above for crew and weather
condisions. Weather date is Sunday, July 24.
Saturday, July 30 - Special Event. Cruise to Fayette, MI on board the Island Clipper.
Pack a picnic - we'll provide the beverages. Fee assessed to participating
members. Registration and payment information will be posted in mid June.
The Clipper has been reserved and the trip will be taken - weather being the
only consideration. Weather date is Sunday, July 31.

Sunday, August 7 - Golf Outing at Deer Run - shotgun start. Coordinated by Sally Clancy.
Saturday, August 13* - Power Boat Outing - meet Detroit Harbor for a Scavenger hunt.
Pack a picnic lunch, bring beverages of skippers' choice, details to be posted.
Saturday, August 20 - Island Fair - WIYC Ice Cream Booth - chaired by Gary & Amy Delzell.
Please think about volunteering to help Delzells sell ice cream cones and
sundaes to benefit an Island charity.
Sunday, August 21 - Deer Run Golf Outing - Best Ball. Coordinated by Sally Clancy.
Saturday, Sept. 3, 9:30am - WIYC ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING - Mosling Recreation
Center, Washington Island. Followed by Board of Directors and Committee
Chairs - 2012 Activities Planning Meeting.
Sunday, Sept. 4* - Labor Day Weekend Potluck. Help inaugerate the new Barn at the
Washington Island Farm Museum. This will be a special event in cooperation
with the Farm Museum. Join us for square dencing, cake walk, and more fun to
be posted.

Sunday, October 9* - Columbus Day Brunch - location to be posted.

**Demission is the temporary suspension of membership privileges and dues payment. If family illness or some other circumstance requires that you request demission, it must be arranged by May 16, 2011, by contacting the Commodore. Members with dues unpaid by May 16 will not be eligible to participate in WIYC events until as their dues and assessments (if any) are brought up to date.
