Founded in 1984, The Washington Island Yacht Club serves the full time and summer residents of Washington Island, Wisconsin who share an interest in boating and a love for the Washington Island community. Members and their families meet weekly in July and August to race the club's fleet of five Hobie 14 foot sailboats, compete in backgammon and share in the camaraderie of competition. Special outings, events and fundraisers are also planned each year for members and their guests. The club is the sponsor of the Clay Blair Scholarship which is awarded to graduates of the Washington Island School. 

Membership is open to all who share an interest in Washington Island. Interested parties should contact any officer of the club for membership information.
